Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Received a photo and update suggesting there may be considerable snow up at 2000.....the phrase 80cm was used (which I shall take with a large pinch of salt).

For checking out the snow line in Peisey - the camera on the other side of the valley is handy

This shows that while there is undoubtedbly snow up top (as in picture) the snow line is still around 1600 to 1700 m I would say. Only when this link shows snow past Vallandry do I relax

thefatcontroller, hopefully if we get sorted and can book a second hol this season then we will be doing just that in March Laughing It's important for the kids to experience different cultures...for example did you know that in France children are fed about five different chocolate items for breakfast and then have a chocolate crepe on the mountain mid morning as a snack?
