Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Subject: Scream Ltd. / Rossy B2

A couple of questions. (three actually!!)

Are the Scream Ltd. just a 1080 without the twin tip? Lad in EB said they were, and they do look similar. I ski 1080's but am totally p***d off getting them into the gondola carriers abroad, and as I am too old to visit the park, I can do without the upturned tail!

Hoe does the Rossy B2 compare with the 1080? I love the 1080 in slush, crud and powder when I can find it. but not too happy on ice. Would moving from 169's to 180's help with this?

A mate advised me to take the skis out of the car overnight as 'the binding would freeze and not work properly in the morning' Any truth in this?

I found Rossi B2 difficult to get in the gondola at Grindelwald as it has a bit of a turned up tip at the back end.

The trick was to separate them and put them in side by side.

I did not like the Axial binding, but you can fit any binding on the B2 although packages usually come with a Rossignol binding.

I found the B2 good on and off piste but I did not have any ice during my trip.

I heard the same thing about the Scream Ltd's, 1080 with a straight tail, but can't remember where I read it.
As for the B2's I didn't like them on ice at all but I've not tried 1080's. Both are relatively soft and wide so I wouldn't expect great performance on ice. If its important to you buy a race carver.

The B2 excels in soft snow floatation and carves well on piste so should at least match your ski.

Others to consider are Head Monster 75 which....and I am repeating myself on these boards... is a better ski than the B2 in good snow conditions IMO and I have heard, most K2's. For an all round ski I would think 75/76 at the waist is enough. At least it is for me.
