Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Best boot fitter Serre Chevalier

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi All,
Looking for the best boot fitter around Briançon and Serre Chevalier.

It used to be Jules Melquiond, but not even sure if they still do it? The website doesn't offer it in services anymore. If anyone knows if they still do (I have tried emailing), or has any other recommendations that would be great.

Cheers Rob

@ecrinscollective, the bootfitters in Ski Elixir in Monetier are good, and Bruno Bornicat in Chantemerle is also highly recommended (mine were at Elixir, hubby's at Bruno's.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hey Rob, Bruno Bornicat in Chantemerle has a very good reputation, here's his Google maps plus code: WHMQ+3C Saint-Chaffrey

Bornicat is very expensive.

The bootfitter in Elixir is great. I got injection liners at Melquiond as well and left impressed, but they have a less extensive range of boots.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for the info.

I have the boots already from a sponsorship deal. I have had a set before and know they need a bit of tweaking, being touring boots it needs to be a good boot fitter to not mess with the toe bindings.

thanks again

@KenX, great minds. You do need an appointment though he managed to fit hubby's boots perfectly while working on several pairs of race boots

@ecrinscollective, many guides and professionals in the area now use Benoit Dran.

More here https://www.stylealtitude.com/ski-boot-problems.html

I should add that I have used dear old Bruno a few times but Benoit is in another league, might have something to do with him being a fully qualified as an Orthopedist, Podiatrist and Orthotist qualifying back in 2011.

He's also a ski Instructor as well as a Mountain Bike and Kayak guide.

The trouble is they'll all be busy now as people arrive etc
