Poster: A snowHead

I will be in Grindelwald next week.
Does anyone know a good ski shop that will hire demo skis for a day ?
I am looking for Volkl 5 star, Rossignol B2, K2 Apache Crossfire initially.

Quite right. Eleven branchs of Intersport. If you rent VIP skis you can change them as you want - at different branchs, if need be. 55 francs for one day, but a 10 per cent discount for SCGB members.
I got the Volkl 5 star in town and then the Rossignol B2 at the branch at the top of the Firstbahn lift.
Rossis really came into their own with fresh snow. Axial binding is crap though. It did not seem to close with a reasssuring click. I am assuming the technician set them up right, of course.
Unfortunately, I could not find K2 for rent in Grindelwald.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Intersport had all the Salomon stuff.
I was almost tempted to try the 1080s myself.

Mrs Ise tried some womens street racers the other week and didn't like them, just the usual floppy rubbish from Salomon as far as I could tell.
