Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi, most of my skiing needs for 2009/10 are selected, but I would like to arrange an off-piste snowboarding trip. The only commercial offerings that suit are unnecessarily expensive, so I will have to do my own thing.
So is anybody interested in backcountry/freeride, advanced/expert, boarding; skiers welcome if you fancy joining in.
My preferred weeks would be 20th Feb. through to 13th March 2010; or 27th Dec. to 6th Jan. if consensus indicated that.
Somewhere with great off-piste; St Anton, Chamonix, Val d’ Isere, Flaine, Engleberg; perhaps USA, or Canada; maybe a bit of Heli or Cat?
Mountain Guide to be arranged so ideally a group to suit favorable spread of cost.
Not fussy about accommodation, so I’ll go with the flow.
If anybody is interested feel free to post here or PM me.

My plans have firmed up a bit now.
1) There is a snowboarding Steep & Deep Camp in Jackson Hole from 24th to 27th Feb, I will be going from 21st for 10 days. S & D is 900$ or £550, trip is about £1100 B&B inc flights from Manchester. 1 week and London flights are cheaper options.
2) I also plan on going to St Anton from Dec 27th to Jan 9th. I am tempted to drive and stay in motorhome, so not looked into accommodation or flights (I might do Tignes/Val d' these two weeks instead, but been there so often, not that enthused). Plan is to arrange some off-piste guiding in one of these two weeks.
If there is a consensus for either of these two trips I will be happy to join with others and organize something rather just do my own thing. My preference would be one of the xmas/new year weeks.
