Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Are you sure about that? - we just booked with Crystal Manchester - Salzburg at the weekend. I also just looked on the Thomson website, and they're still advertising packages from from Manchester.

Jet2 still fly there from Leeds AFAIK.

I think more of the Thomsonfly flights are only available as part of a TUI package now and not to book direct.

Yup, your best options are Lufthansa to Munich or Easyjet (from Liverpool) to Innsbruck.

As an alternative, Luftansa will fly you to Salzburg but with a change in Hamburg I think, no idea on price though. I think Swiss air will do a similar thing too...

Charlatanefc, Salzburg is dropped by Thomson Airways altogether for scheduled flights.

My issue is that the proximity of Ski Amade e.g. meant that a 3 night stay could produce 3.5 days on the snow. This is now down to 2 days plus having to hire a car. Crying or Very sad Sadly it looks like Geneva served resorts will be getting my dosh this season (ex Newcastle)
