Congratulations to skimottaret who passed his Adaptive Skiing course today, and therefore has completed all his ISIA qualification. Nice one Scott, although you zipped through all the bits too bloody quickly for my liking

I'm hoping there is only 3 to go, but they keep adding things so I'm hoping it doesn't tick up to 4 or 5!

Yup, Coach 2 to be precise as I got Coach 1 a couple of weeks ago.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

I never did understand what your wager with him finished up as! To be honest I don't think I'll get it all done in this forthcoming season, so I think we might well finish at the same time.

Yes, that rings a bell. I'm cool with that, providing I can come and stay with you in Hong Kong for a week

Would beanie1 get exemptions for the BASI modules she's already passed?
Edit: I just had a quick look at the APSI 2 requirements and it really doesn't look like that is a qualification which would meet the requirements for the ISIA Stamp. I'm not sure that APSI 3 would meet it either (no mountain safety assessment, for example), although I'm not that familiar with how ISIA accredits courses so maybe I'm wrong on that.

thanks all it was a fun course and a big relief to finish...

APSI 2 look similar to BASI L2 from the info on the APSI website. APSI 3 looks similar to BASI's L3, but no 2nd discipline and no mountain safety so I'm not sure if it would be awarded the ISIA Stamp.
There's a little bit of video on YouTube which showed what we were doing for most of the week.

rob@rar, so basically sitting around all week?

Sideshow_Bob, at the end of the week yes. At the start of the week we spent a lot of time being flipped sideways on to the snow, or getting driven through the middle of the "slow" signs, or having a pre-release on the drag lift and sliding down backwards out of control, or seeing your brakeman in front of you and knowing that was bad...
