Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Is it possible to ski some blue runs on mountain at Saas Fee without being tied to T-bars or facing long queues? Am still thinking of family trip in April.
Also the Crystal piste map -
http://www.crystalski.co.uk/cms/pistemaps/pdfs/697/640.pdf
has a second lift on the Plattjen slope which does not appear on any of the other maps. It is marked as a chair (with number 9). Does it exist and, if so, can it be used to descend to the blue run which starts half way down that slope?
Many thanks for any help.

, there is no second lift on Plattjen. The only way you can do a blue run without a T-bar is to take the Alpin Express or Felskinn lift to Felskinn and walk through the tunnel to the piste. It starts with a track and there is then an easy way back down to Morenia and you can do the loop endlessly. I've never had any problems with long queues on the mountain. There are, of course, button lifts on the nursery slopes and the steeper slope offers several alternatives.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Very old map ... that second lift on Plattjen wasn't there 4 years ago when I was there. The Hanning mountain is now just for walking and sledging. There is also no lift to Kamel from Eingerjoch.

, thanks guys. I have seen no indication that the second lift was ever there! It also has some extra blue at the top compared to other maps I have seen. Very misleading if you are planning a holiday where, like me, this matters.
