Just came across this interesting site.
http://snoveo.com/
Bit slow, but it has you snow report video's that appear to be regularly updated.

I just checked out this site and it seems to be the only one around that offers regularly updated, video snow reports, so you can get a real life view of what the snow conditions are liked, plus its accredited by the GB Ski Club - EXCELLENT STUFF FOR EXTREME SKIERS AND BOARDERS

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I was not aware of its links to the Ski Club of GB. I think it has just gone down in my estimation.

It's completely independent - run by a couple of snow heads who were fed up with corporate sites offering only static ski data. The snow reporters are also completely independent, giving real life views on the snow and resorts. Think they just source the snow data from Ski club to make sure it is completely accurate. It seems to be the only site to go to if you want a real life, up to the minute view of conditions - particularly like when they actually ski down the piste, to give you a feel for the snow. V GOOD

ExtremeSki3,so the snow reporters are in resort but you need to get the reporting data from the Ski Club? Why not just get the person in the resort to do it?

No link. Just read an article on them, interesting stuff. They mentioned in the article they wanted reporters to concentrate on the snow reports and giving people a first hand experience of the snow rather than collecting data, which they could just source from another reliable company. It's a bit slow at the moment but think it will be good when fully launched.

Hello i've just been sent this link, thought I might join in.
Snoveo is an Independent. We came up with the idea a few seasons back when we were looking for weather reports for La Tania and could only view a static webcam. Frustrating!
We publish videos twice a week from around the resorts to give other snow lovers a better experience when searching for upcoming conditions. We also have our guys film themselves skiing the pistes to give you an honest view of the snow.
The system has been a bit slow but we've made some alterations and as of tomorrow it should be running a lot quicker. As we are an independent we're building up our resorts and hope to keep adding throughout the season.
I hope you like the reports

Snoveo,
Hi, and welcome to snowheads.
I think what you are doing is a really great novel idea. I plan to make use of it when I get closer to my 2010 trip.
What is objectionable is the casual recommendation of your site by ExtremeSki3, who is obviously close to or involved with the project. I notice that admin has removed at least 4 posts / topics on snoveo by ExtremeSki3.
Better to be honest from the off, stating your relationship with the project / vested interests, and outline your concept, and where you plan to take it.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Snoveo, A cautious welcome to snowHeads.
You and ExtremeSki3, have certainly put me off visiting your site.
If you want a good live video snow report for La Tania I suggest you go to www.latania.co.uk and watch Tims often amusing video snow reports direct from the piste.

Although I appreciate ExtremeSki3 pushing us - I really have no idea who they are - we're not that shameless!

You know it makes sense.

Boredsurfing,
Thanks for the link and the recommendation, I certainly would have found it useful before my trip. Any and all content is very welcome indeed.
