Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

OK here’s my situation
We have booked flights to Geneva 26th Dec back on 2nd Jan Sat to Sat afternoon arival depart times.
We have for the last 3 years booked accom in Les Contamines and liked it but I am finding the ski area a bit small now.
My wife is a non skier she likes walks meeting me on the mountain for lunch once or twice during the week and a visit or 2 to the Thermes in St Gervaise.
So what I want is a small apartment or studio up to 2 hours drive from Geneva (We hire a car).
Small town location with some diversions for my significant other, she is not to confidant driving on her own so not a couple of Kms out of town. Simarly I don’t mind having to walk a bit or drive to the ski lifts though ski in would be nice.
Budget up to £500.
France or Switzerland? Never done the latter.
She likes the Spa in St Gervais is there others like this in Haute Savoy?

Here's an idea - I have done it with Mrs Wayne in the past and it's good fun. Book a hotel (lots to choose from) in Geneva and just drive up the "white motorway" each day and ski a different are each day. Geneva over New Year is really nice.
