Elmer, I've no idea really, could be anywhere, however the Brick Bond is in the Flemish style so I'll hazzard a guess and say an old bar/home somewhere in Holland (or thereabouts)

Hmm ok well if they're not snowshoes then they must be for going over a similarly soft surface, my guess would be mud, if Flowers are involved then maybe somewhere near the Fens ?

Oh I think I begin to see the light, many years ago I remember tales of grain being like quicksand when it was stored in silos, could those shoes allow you to walk across grain or flour when it is stored in a silo ? If that's the case then they could be anywhere, however the bricks look old, not many places use that style of brick so it's either somewhere in Northern Europe of the USA I'd say
