Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

European Breakdown & Recovery Insurance

Poster: A snowHead
As there must be many people on here who take cars to europe I thought I would recount my recent, good, experience with More Than who, when I took out the policy last year, were one of, if not the cheapest options.
I had problem with my car last week in Grenoble, a completely failed battery that would'nt even give out enough power to switch off the immobilise and let you bump start the engine. We have European Recovery insurance with More Than and they were absolutely spot on. They got a garage out within 45 minutes who, anticipating the problem, brought out the correct battery and fitted it after testing the old one. (And he did test it properly by jump starting the car and letting it run for 10 minutes etc.). The guy at MoreThan's control centre sent me texts to tell me what was happening and then called me later to check that the problem was solved to my satisfaction.
Just to be clear I do not have any ties with More Than except as a customer.

skitow, that's encouraging. I switched my car insurance to Marks & Spencer this year partly because UK and European breakdown is included so I can ditch my AA membership and save both ways. Hopefully I'll never need it but does anyone have any experience of using the M&S service?

skitow, Good to hear, we came back from Switzerland yesterday with an ever worse-sounding wheel bearing, do did get a bit worried. Do More Than have their own control centre, or do they someone like Europ Assistance?

skitow, Really pleased to hear as I changed to them last week and took out their European breakdown insurance. Very Happy
Should also add that we broke down in France last month and we had equally good service form Green Flag.
