Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
For the first time since 1989 the Daily Mail has reportedly cancelled its annual ski trip for key clients, which had a reputation as "you only get to go once, but you never forget it."
The Guardian, however, is going ahead "although numbers have been drastically reduced" this year.
This report by
Media Week - "Do media jollies make business sense?"
- sets out the pros and cons of sliding and schmoozing while the
blizzard
of recession takes grip.
Do you schmooze your clients on mountains? Are you expecting a ski-freebie this winter?

, ski jollies work a treat - I prefer "conference" though as, believe it or not, there is much business talked. I do one every year and this year no exception... although one or two frills are being trimmed for the sake of taste. Might make some share rooms etc and have moved it from semi-high season to end of season.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

What does the "etc" amount to - desserts?
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

There's a quote in the above article from a man called Booth, who says that ski jollies can enable you to "get under the skin of your customers".
I found this slightly sinister, though I'm sure it's perfectly innocent.
Swiller is clearly intending to tan his clients' skins this season, which sounds superior.
