Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Recommended Ski's for Daughter

Looking for suggestions for ski's for my 15 year old daughter, probably an all mountain ski to suit the type of skiing we do.

She can ski down moguled/cruddy blacks quite well, she is 55kg and around 5' 8" in height. She is not very strong, so a lightweight ski would be ideal.
Ideally I would like to be able to pick-up an 08 model ski if possible.

My wifes' about the same hight, but a little heavier. Last season I flea-bay'd a pair of Salomon Thrusters (brand new) and a decent set of Look bindings (brand new) for a total cost of £120.

She likes them, so I'd say try about 80mm underfoot and look for mens park skis that have been slated as being too soft.

If you can wait till May, the choice will increase.
