Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

If flying direct to Geneva 4 april for one week as a secong ski trip- where is the best place for late easter snow for a family of four. Need beginner slopes and some reds/blues for others?
We have always gone fro self-catering option but this is now getting pricey with demise of the £. any suggestions/offers would be helpful.

Les Contamines has all the attributes and should have some reasonable accommodation. St Gervais could be a little bare in places, but is still a good base if you hire a car as you can get to Chamonix as well as LC.
Morzine? If you want to travel further, then the usual suspects (Val d'Isere, Tignes, etc).
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Avoriaz. Been there at Easter. car free resort so great for the kids. You can catch a drag up through the village and ski back to your door with your shopping!!! Also take rides on the horse and sledges. Snow will be fine at easter with some great skiing and if particularly good ski down into Morzine on some of the longest widest blues through the trees.

I found this apartment at random on the internet - we have one in the same development but it is not available for rent (we'll be here!). £475 for an apartment is not bad, and our local snow record is good. The last couple of years early April has seen excellent snow cover, but of course nothing is guaranteed when it comes to mountain weather! Les Saisies is at 1650m and will generally, at that time of year, have better snow cover than the lower areas of the Grande Massif, but not as good as the very top of the Flaine bowl (not that there is much skiing right at the very top!!)
You would probably be better off in the main village of Les Saisies, frankly - there are heaps of apartments for rent there. Plenty at around the same price, though few of a comparable quality. There are apartments (see Erna Low) with pools etc but heaps more dosh.
Plenty of red/blue cruising (though the lower areas of the domain will likely be closed) and excellent beginner slopes. Cheap private lessons. Lovely scenery.
