Poster: A snowHead
|
Myself and a couple of friends are planning on heading to Glencoe this weekend - weather permitting..
We're going to wait until Thursday for the weather forecast to decide for certain.
Will we get accomodation easily enough near Glencoe at that late notice? Any recommendations for cheap n cheerful accomodation? Close to a hostelry would be an advantage..
Thanks!
Ben

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

achilles, do they still have a bunkhouse? Kipped there a lot when I used to climb/scramble. Got a bit fetid sometimes!

laundryman, dunno - all too long since I have been in that part of the world. And though I've visited the pubs, I've not stayed in them. I've used a couple of camp sites, a hostel which wouldn't be availale to ben, a hut booked by a party, and a hotel the over the bridge on Loch Linnie. This is all making me terribly nostalgic

Alas, Clachaig is full on Saturday night, though I hadn't looked at Kings House.. Cheers!

Thanks Haggis. Calling them now.
Can anyone advise about ski hire?
Cheers for all the replies.
