Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We are hoping to return by car on 21st March 2009, previously only stayed in La Cachette hotel which was excellent but quite expensive for a second trip and was wondering if anyone has or could suggest some reasonable lodgings in Les Arcs. Also any advice on driving to the resort, tolls, parking etc etc....

Thanks, all comments welcomed .................

macduff you could try this place - http://www.chaletarc.co.uk/ which I'm pretty sure allanm has stayed in..it's based in Nancroix so it's a bus ride upto Peisey-Vallandry or Peisey itself to get a lift.

Driving to resort it's pretty strightforward depending on weather - has been don to death on here, so if you search on 'driving to resort' using the forums search feature you'll get loads of links. In bad weather can take ages, in good wather can be done in 8.5 hours or thereabouts. Took me a tank and 1/2 of diesel when I did it in December (one way) tolls are 70 euros, assuming you do the reims, dijon, lyon, chambery, albertvilled, moutiers route. If you're driving up this weekend (for example) you'll definitely need snowchains...again search under snowchains for more useful info..
