Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I cannot find details of how or where the accomodaiton was booked at that price.
(Thinking about April myself)Resort site referenced reflects self catering from 750e...

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

professorpool, You could try http://www.ernalow.co.uk/resort-overview.aspx?qs=productid_e_73095
We use them at xmas, includes club class Eurotunnel or you can reduce price by £150. Erna Low are one of the few companies that charge by the appartment. None of these rip off extra supplements if not using all the beds.
I have previously looked to book direct and it was no cheaper.

Euro tunnel crossing at £150 is a good price - if it is a flexible ticket that is. I'll call them..

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

professorpool, All eurotunnel tickets with Erna Low this season are flexible (club class) tickets worth 398 return!

You'll need to Register first of course.

It is a flexible ticket.
To be fair, I consider that expensive, however, the tunnel ticket is cheaper than you can get direct, making it a bit closer.
288 euros for an apartment in Les Gets up the road the same week..

Sorry if you realise this, you can't buy the ticket on its own for £150 it's part of the package.

My Flaine comments for 2007 season - in Flaine 17-24 March for SCGB course. Apartment in Vega complex (as per 2005 report, still shabby but reasonably clean and adequate for needs) cost 229 euro for the week - actually had 5 beds although I wouldn't contemplate it for more than 3 very good friends or family - just for me so was fine. Booked through Renand agency on Flaine website - there were even cheaper alternatives. Also got 30 euro off 6-day lift pass booked through agency.
Flew to Geneva and got public bus to Flaine (2 hours) - pretty easy.
Button lift by the terrain park has not been replaced - lifted me off my feet a couple of times until I got wise to it.
Agree with comments about off-piste - we had a guide, but with a fair amount of snow I can confirm it isn't easy climbing out of even a small snow hole
Socialised in Le White pub - lively but civilised atmosphere (happy hours 5-6 and 9-10).

a big lift and ski area upgrade program planned for Flaine between now and 2009, to co-incide with the increased number of beds being built. See http://www.grand-massif.com/panoramaofthefuture/ for details.
Also i understand Euro15m is due to be spent by the Les Carroz domain for similar lift upgrades.

re Erna Low, you don't have to take the Eurotunnel part of the package, we booked accomm in Flaine last year but preferred to book our crossing ourselves as cheaper, no problem with this.

Micheal B, do you have a link for your accomodation please. Nice report and if we do head over there I take heed about your comments regarding piste crossings....sound like it could be nasty in busy periods.
