Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

Just looking at the piste maps for Kitzsteinhorn and Maiskogel in Kaprun. They seem to have added blacks to both locations. Can anyone confimr this? I seem to recall that the black runs were only at Zell.

boyo, There have been a couple of new runs added this year, not sure what colour, but when we went 2006 there were black runs, 2 I think, I still have a piste map and will look later.

Haven't been to Kaprun for a couple of years but the small/short black right at the top has been there for the last 8 years at least. Pretty sure the two runs either side of the Maurergletscher lift were red and not black until recently. Never skied the Maiskogel but don't remember seeing any other blacks on the ski map.

I was under the impression that the new runs were somewhere near the new "Kristallbahn" lift which is lower down.

Byron Gates,

Do you know if the runs are actually steeper (have they landscaped) or just rebadged red runs?

Thanks, I know where they are but when I last skied them they were (as far as I can remember) red runs - just interested to know if they are actually steeper now they are black runs or not.

Yup - have all been reds on the maps in the last 3 years (really need to find a new resort!!) - was wondering if they have been made steeper. Took the wife on what are nowlisted as the black runs on Maiskogel last year - big mistake!
