Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Somewhere to ski/board between Milan and Innsbruck

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm off on work to Milan in a week or two and may have to take a trip to Innsbruck at the same time. Now as I'm not getting a proper snow holiday in this year, I would like to spend a day or so at a resort, probably mid week, on route between Milan and Innsbruck. So what I'm looking for is a resort, big or small, hotel accomodation for a night or two. Can anybody suggest where I should consider going? Cheers for the help!

You'll be going over the Brenner Pass - so
On the motorway from Verona, about 10km after Trento take the turn for Mezzolomardo
After 20km take the left turn (signposted Cles)
When you get to Dimaro take the left turn (opposite the Bridge - you will see a small Holiday Inn) toward Folgarida which is 7km up the hill

You can normally stay at the holiday inn for the odd couple of days

It gets a little busy at the weekend

See you in the Eta Beta Bar for some grappa

If you don't ue the motorway (take the Sondrio road from Milan - I "think" it's the S42 - but check that 1st)
You will drive past ski slope car parks (and under cable cars/ chairs/etc)
There are loads of resorts along that road.
It will take MUCH longer to get to Austria but if you're looking for car-side skiing thats the way to go.

You need to look at the resorts and work out which one is best for you - off course Folgarida is by far the best Very Happy Very Happy
If you take that road to Folgarida take the Costa Rotain turn off - it will cut off about 30 miles
