Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Cheers JT, a few more questions though.

How long will this little excursion take me?

I,m guessing jumping on the train with me boots and skis wont be a problem Blush

By the way the purpose of this is to meet a friend who stays in VT.

suts89, better to ski there, although I'm not sure you could make it there and back in the day. From Les Arcs ski across to La Plagne then down to Champagny . From there take a short taxi ride to Bozel and I think there's a shuttle bus which takes you up to Courchevel, if not take the taxi up to Courchevel 1300 (Le Praz) and from there ski to Val Thorens.

Alternatively do what BernardC did last year and take a microlight (or was it parapente) flight from the top of Champagny to Courchevel Smile

suts89, are you just trying to make a day trip to visit mates? It's a long way to go for that, and you'll not get much skiing in.

It is doable, but fairly pointless IMO unless you have access to a car and can drive yourself (takes about 80-90 minutes if no traffic).

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I suspect the only way of doing this and sharing a bit of ski time together would be to get the Funicular down to BSM, pick up a taxi to Meribel (or just possibly the bottom of the Olympic gondola in Brides les Bains- that gets you to resort centre in Meribel after about half an hour's ride.) Your mate wil in the meantime hav had to get the Trois Vallees lift over the top of Mont del la Chambre and skied down to Meribel. He will be there first! You could then have a reasonable day's skiing together in the 3V area. Not impossible but complicated. Getting to VT itself will take ages by road. Forget that.
