I post some photos in the snow report forum, but in this case I think that are enough "amazing" to post it here as much people don't visit the other place.
Past saturday we went to Porté-Puymorens to see if the couloirs were in a good shape. And what an epic day!! The higher skilift is closed this season (this season and the nexts..undefined reopening) so the acces to the couloirs needs some hike (I prefer it, lots less people taste them, and is only between 5 and 20min). As the resort was closed all the week waiting for the official opening, the saturday was the DAY, we spended all the day there, and skied 6 couloirs, opening all of them.
Really full of snow, the trees were snowghosts, and the snow cover all the faces, all the steeps, rocks... unbelievable for a 20-dec. Lots of photos to save in the bests skiing days desk...

ntfarmer, no I like the rain. That's why I live in Macclesfield. when I go on holiday if I feel homesick I just stand in the shower fully dressed.
