I skied Copper yesterday. Snow report is 2' in the past week, 3" overnight, 47" base. Conditions were great all over the mountain. It snowed for about 3 hours (today's report notes an addition 5"), and the slopes are very well-covered. The latest snow is a bit on the wet side for Colorado (snow levels around 8,000'), but I think that makes for a good base for the rest of the year.

Skied Copper yesterday and today. It hasn't snowed since Wednesday, and we could use some more snow. There were thin spots on a number of trails: groomers where the blades had scraped it thin and mogul runs between the bumps, primarily. Up top, the snow was very nice. In the bowls, as long as you avoid the big rocks, the snow was quite nice. One of the guides I ski with reported the snow in Spaulding Bowl as being the best he'd skied in more than 30 years of skiing Copper.

Best sections of the mountain: Timberline and the bowls.
