Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ginny McGrath of The Times has asked the budget accommodation site hostelbookers.com to rate the ten best ski hostels (northern and southern hemispheres) in the world:

The world's 10 best ski hostels

There's plenty of detail and prices in the article. The hostels (rated 86% to 95% by users for quality) are in the following resorts:

1 Savognin, Switzerland
2 Bad Gastein, Austria
3 Zakopane, Poland
4 Gotzens, Austria
5 Breckenridge, Colorado
6 Bansko, Bulgaria
7 Nagano, Japan
8 Interlaken, Switzerland
9 Canillo, Andorra
10 El Colorado, Chile

This seems to be a very useful article. The winner - the Cube Savognin - seems to be an extraordinarily good deal:
Quote:

The bar serves drinks and snacks 24 hours a day plus there's a restaurant, chill out lounges on every floor and a relaxation area with sauna, steam bath, massage and fitness area. The hotel has internet access and PlayStation terminals, plus darts. There's free parking for guests in winter.

It is 50 meters to the cable car, and has 266 beds in 76 rooms.
Price: Rooms start at £36 half-board in a private room including a one-day ski pass for Savognin per booked night.

Anyone stayed there, or any of the others above?
