Hello!
I'l be in Les2Apes 4-10 Jan '09. Will there be any night skiing?? What time do the mountain restaurants close? Do any of them do an evening meal with a torchlite/guided descent? Any floodlit pistes?

that sounds great. Floodlit skiing is not much cop because you can't see anything beyond the floodlights and when I tried it I found it very difficult to get a proper sense of perspective. But proper skiing in a full moon? Yes please.

I ski'd by torch light (burning rags in petrol, stuck in a tin on the end of half a skiset ski pole) from a mountain restaurant in less arc. IT WAS AMAZING! Though everone ended up stinking like petrol and there were many melted gloves!
