About to drop a considerable amount of money on an overnight Euro$tar to BSM. I'm assuming the Euro$tar website is difficult to beat, price-wise? Any top tips for shaving a few quid off (I don't have Tesco vouchers and don't plan to any time soon)?
I expect this has been done before but people don't get flamed for posting "what ski should I get?" threads and this is no more dumb IMO

Try the eurorail website, sometimes its cheaper, there are also various options to BSM, you can take a french night train etc from paris which is cheaper I believe

You can go for half the price of the direct Eurostar by changing in Paris.
I've tackled the metro single-handed with large bag, boot bag, and backpack.
If you've got skis, just take a taxi - quick and easy.
You'll have a much more comfortable time.

The only discounted Eurostar tickets I've seen are the occassional special offers run by newspapers (Telegraph I think, the last couple of times).
I understand the Tea Club of Great Britain touts some kind of discount for their members but that the tickets the discount is available on are quite limited. A member of said club might know better.
I've used the Eurostar often and not yet found or managed to engineer a price better than their own site.
If you click through to the Eurostar site from a link here though, snowHeads earns a small commission for the lead, at no cost to yourself.

Arno, it depends on when you book.
The Ski Train starts at £179 - you usually pay more.
Eurostar to Paris starts at £59 return, but there is a limited number at this price.
The SNCF overnight train starts at £28 (£56 return) for second class - about double this for first class - but again these fares are limited in number.
If you book early enough you can beat the Eurostar Direct and still go first class on the sleeper.
