Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A friend of mine's son was booked on his school ski trip departing on Saturday 13th. But he has had to attend a university interview extending through Saturday 13th, so he has had to book a later flight on Sunday to catch up with his group. He is on an Easyjet flight arriving Lyon at 1040hrs on Sunday 14th. Transfers are very ifficult I understand because the bus sevice isn't up and running and it looks like he will have to catch a bus into Lyons, and then catch trains and buses and taxis thereafter. Is anyone doing that trip who could give him a lift (contribution to costs gladly given)? He's a charming young man,and would be good company. Alternatively does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way for him to to get to La Plagne 1800?
Many thanks.

noggy
, there is a regular bus shuttle between Lyon airport and the City, you could check the train time-table for services between Lyon Par Deux and Bourg St Maurice, for La Plagne he would need to exit at Aime where he could get a taxi to La Plagne or even thumb a lift, it's much more common in France especially on the access roads to ski-stations. The trip takes about 3 and a bit hours and may require a change at Chambery.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

agreed. I fairly often give people lifts. If nothing better comes up he could do a lot worse than "faire le stop".
