Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Where in Val D'Isere

Would usually drive and organise everything myself but this year need to do a package deal. 2 adults 2 teenagers. one adult doesn't ski. Others all do.

Have 3 deals at the moment, local to me flights to Chambery, and either La Daille, Le Centre appts, ( I've stopped there before) or Les Verdets / Jardins appts. Biggest appt is the last one, similar price to Le Centre which has a mezzanine. La Daille is about 400 quid cheaper but smaller.

I'm drawn to the larger one in the Verdets complex but haven't stopped there before. Any experiences?

Will be going last weekend in March so just before the mad rush I hope.

TIA

I've been up in the Jardins. Ski-in / out if you don't mind coming down Santons / off solaise, the little red bus is ok but can sometimes not turn up. I'd prefer to stay in La daille personally

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I thought Les Verdets etc was right in the centre sort of behind Dicks?

Only ever skied through La Daille, what's it like to stop there? I know there are excellent buses into Val itself, and the savings could happily be spent elsewhere!

endoman, Whilst I haven't stayed in the apartments in question, La Daille is a good place to stay. Easy bus access to main Val for an evening, plenty of restaurants right on the doorstep, easy access to lifts, about as close to ski-in ski-out as anywhere else in Val d'Isere etc etc - and as you say, save the money to blow on something else

endoman, Think that used to be owned by that violinists' Mum (Vanessa May) - not sure if it still is though?
