It's still going to dent your wallet I'm afraid. If you want to keep costs down go to the takeaway places. Can't remember the actual cost of stuff...suppose the brain blocks out the more painful stuff!!! I'm actually off to ADH again on the 27th Dec so I'll try and remember a few prices for you.

Im off to ADH on Jan 3, also for the first time. Everything i have read says it is one of the cheapest french resorts but your wallet is still going to get hurt in the bars. Supermarkets are the way to go from what i hear for all your alcohol needs and the usual story is to try avoid the piste side cafes for food. Stick to the pizza's and pastas and you should come out ok. love the €

I agree with easiski, I did a week in LDA and another in ADH at Easter and LDA is cheaper for most things.

Thats not good news! A couple of frozen pizzas back in the apartment i think.
Another question, Im looking to rent a camera that you can clip onto your ski googles or put around your head, Anyone know if this can be done somewhere in ADH??

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

the pizzeria/restaurant at bottom of signal is well expensive - for the most cheapy nasty burger ever ate in my life and coke was just under £20 per head.
coke is usually £4.50 and a meal in mountain restaurant is about £10 - £15. a whiskey and coke is £11 and a beer is £8
spose it never felt so bad when the euro to sterling was in a better state but right now - it is bad. we took a packed lunch every day in back pack after the first day costing £40 for a lunch for two of us.
also saw huge amount of other people doing the same - this is the first time I noticed people eating picnics on the mountain - it is expensive and we're not putting up with it.....

innerspaceservices, Thanks. The picnic idea is certainly something we'll be doing and we will be avoiding that restaurant at the bottom of signal. Its France they're suppose to do nice rolls. Anyway we all need to burn off some of that christmas weight we're all carrying.
