thedavman, Check out renting a car. Its prob about £150 for small car for a week from auto europe. You have to pay to get through the Mont blanc tunnel, but at least you then have a car to get about to different resorts if you want.

I'm going to Courmayeur and looked into both DIY and TO options. In actual fact for me, TO turned out to be much cheaper, but that's probably because there's one of me...
I had a quote for private transfer from Geneva, which was more expensive (€280!) than the cost of renting a car for the week (£175). Worth getting quotes for both and obviously it depends how many there are in your group...
Didn't find anything from Turin other than a public bus to Aosta, then on to Courmayeur (La Thuile, Monte Rosa and Pila also possible). This would undoubtedly be much cheaper but the bus times didn't really fit in with any flight times...

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

From Turin airport (Caselle) you get the shuttle bus service to Turin Porta Susa station and then train to Aosta.
Roughly - Buses every 30-45 mins take 30 mins. Trains every hour take 2hrs10. Take your chance!
