chelt881, Hi! There are plenty of hire places right outside the Falaise complex. A couple of Ski Set places but I don't think I could say they are anything other than the bog-standard type ski hire places you get anywhere. More Ccheap and cheerful than anything else. There are better hire places as you go down to the centre of the resort. Depends what you want I guess.

We hired from Twinner right in the centre next to Tourist info. They were really good as we also hired snow bikes for a day and a weeny little snowboard with boots for my 6 yr old. They are in a very handy position if anything needs changing/adjusting.

chelt881, was a couple of years back now, but I booked in advance with InterSport (on the basis they normally have really good kit)...and was VERY disappointed. Despite having a couple of shops, they had the worst range of any hire shop I've ever been to.
So, umm, I'd recommend somewhere else

All about the same price to hire skis in Avoriaz.
Have to go with marmalade, Twinner in the centre is pretty good with a good selection of skis to hire.
