Poster: A snowHead

Hi everyone.
We really need some help working out a resort with good childcare, good skiing and convenience. Our daughter will be 1 in January and we will also be travelling with friends whose skiing requirements are extensive!
Can anyone recommend a resort in Austria, France or Italy where they have had a good experience of a creche. That's my priority, but the others in the group also need about 150km of piste as a minimum (intermediates to advanced) plus some apres ski and decent accommodation. If we could also find a resort that offers skiing convenience so that if I went out skiing but needed to get back to the creche fairly quickly it would be possible to ski back to the town fairly easily rather that get buses etc.
Austria is preferred, followed by France then Italy. I've seen that Kitz, Mayrhofen, Zell and Soll all have childcare options etc but we've already been and would like to try somewhere different. That said, if they offer great childcare I'm sure I can persuade the others to go back!
We love Saalbach for it's town and skiing convenience but I'm struggling with the chidcare option and to be honest the cost of going there may be a bit high this year. We are looking to spend around £600 for flights and accommodation. We can go in the cheaper weeks, e.g. Late Jan or mid March.
Many thanks.

Serfaus would be a good choice and many of the hotels in the region are part of the Kinderhotel (kitemark) standards. http://en.serfaus-fiss-ladis.at/ We looked at the hotels Lowe and Baeren and are very child orientated and many of the packages include child care. We're off to this hotel in Stuben (near St Anton) which looks like it might have childcare but we don't need that now http://www.hubertushof-arlberg.at/stuben/hotel_index.htm Stuben would probably be better for skiing and apres (assuming you go to St Anton for it) than Serfaus though

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Numerous family specialists go to La Tania and you don't hear many bad reports about any of them, not on Snowheads anyway. La Tania ticks all your boxes except apres, which is okay but limited to one or two decent bars only.

Hayls, Here in Morzine PDS we have a childcare company that comes to you. They also operate in Chatel and Champery PDS (where they have a creche).
Have a look at Jack Frosts website for all info www.JackFrosts.net

Arc 1950 in Les Arcs might fit the bill. The childcare facilities have a good reputation apparently, wide range of skiing for your friends and the village is compact and ski in/out.

Hayls, How about Obertauern? the tourist office runs a creche. We didn't actually use it, but my wife checked it out and said it looked to be pretty good - and they had a policy of getting the kids out and playing in the snow so weren't just stuck in a playroom all day.
OK, skiing is I think only 110km, but it's a good variety and the convenience is definitely there - plus you've got some other resorts nearby on the Lungo pass I think.
Accomodation is definitely good - Hotel Schneider is recommended.
Edited for links....

We went to Les Gets last Easter and used the nursery in the Village. My little boy who was 2 a the time was fine there, it is called Les Fripouilles or something similar. Very reasonable too and they were very felxible on time to tie oin with my other little boys lessons. Not sure about the apres ski though as we went on our own with the kids!!
