Looking good - my friends are in their caravan in Glencoe this weekend and have just text to say all their pipes have frozen overnight - so pretty cold up there as well.

Any one heard anything of lifts turning? I may have to head up on Monday with my hiking feet on either way...

arv, Nevis is closed for it's gondola service finishes on 19th December- however they may open next weekend if there is enough snow.
The Coe recon they will be ready to go on 18th December - again snow permitting.

II, thanks for that. Wish they would get it together and spin the lifts.. got to be enough up there for a couple decent runs.

winterhighland.info this morning says this about Nevis:
"Conditions are improving for snowsports with more snow forecast on Thursday this week. If all goes to plan we would open this Saturday 6 & Sunday 7."
Hope that pans out as expected for anybody near enough to make use of it, you lucky lucky skirt-wearers!

Anyone any news as to wether Glenshee will open at the weekend?
If glencoe opens, we'll go there, but it'd be nice to get some skiing in

You know it makes sense.

Nevis: Conditions are improving with more snow forecast on Thurs this week. If all goes to plan we would open Alpha, Goose T-Bar & Summit, Sat 6 & Sun 7 Dec.
- So the whole mountain will be skiable from these three lifts except the lower chair runs (unless you want a short walk)...
Glencoe: Aparently won't be open this weekend as of now....

The webcam pics look good, up to near the top of the fences beside the goose t-bar ... and a major front hoving into view on the MetO radar.

Boo, the pesky English nabbed the best of the snow.
Nevis not opening this weekend after all. I suspect they might've been able to do Goose+Summit if they had had the chair ready for access. Ho hum.
Doesn't look like Lecht or Glenshee got quite enough either. We're tantalisingly close to getting going, just a bit more net snow gain that might come next week ...
