Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Top up lift pass for Morzine / Portes du Soleil

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We have lift passes from 3 years ago when we last went to Morzine.
The http://www.sagets.fr web site isn't clear as to how to get the passes recharged?

Can anybody advise what is the best way to top them up?
Via Internet or at local lift pass office?

If they are the RF type passes, hand them over at the ticket office when you buy your next ski pass and they will add them on to it. You will also get points (printed on the pass) and when you get approx 200 you get a free pass.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

dz4d1v, thanks that sounds fine.
We are arriving early therefore getting to the ticket office should be easy enough.

What is wierd, of the 3 passes, 2 adult 1child, child says it has 46 bonus points, 1 adult 26 and the 2nd adult zero.
Can't work it out, but hopefully the ticket office will be able to Smile

Maybe the ticket office thought they would do you a favour by putting all the points on one card so you get the free one quicker. Points would be based on the monetary value of the pass, so the childs points would be less. Me thinks its 26 for an adult and 20 for a child but all on the wrong card(s)

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I was wondering about this too plus I had hoped I would be able to order the passes over the internet and have them delivered to save having to go the ticket office. It seems you still have to collect them from the office even if your order online.

I think this is thought of (by the ticket office) as less problematic than sending out by post. It only takes a couple of orders to go astray to cause hassle for them and mayhem on the day you go to try and sort it out Very Happy At least you should have the security of knowing they are there waiting for you, instead of nervously watching the post

Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

kendadj, It is possible to order new lift passes over the internet and pick up in a hotel.
I want to be able to top up existing passes, therefore shame they can not be used like London Oyster cards which pick up the extra credit when first used.

I always buy passes daily. It may cost more over the week but it does give flexibility to choose which pass, local or PdS, to buy depending upon the weather, whether links are open, injuries, hang over etc. A few days of shoite weather and any difference is recovered. You may have to queue each morning but there is always one in the group who takes a similar time to put boots on, find gloves, adjust headgear, put lippy on so no worse off.
