Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Any recommendations of group or private ski/snowboard instructors in Courmayeur? Managed to find two schools but have hardly any info. about them.
We've got abilities ranging from one that is determined to go right back to the beginners' group even though they've skied before, to one that's comfortable on reds and the odd black run.

Here's what a local (my sister) has to say (she has a yound daughter who learnt with the first school, and a young son who learnt with the second):
Quote:
There are two schools - the Monte bianco one ( been running the longest and where most of the ski instructors are ) and the Courmayeur Snowboard one ( which is the new one and does all lessons not just snowboard ). The old ski school is really disorganised but they are both in Val Veny and Chercouit and have obviously more instructors.
The other one could be slightly more expensive and are only in Chercrouit but are all young instructors ( good if you're a girl ) and are slightly more innovative than the other one. They also have girl instructors so are good for blokes too as you're guaranteed a young instructress!! They have their ski school office in the bus station;....
I don't know which one to reccomend really - they are best to check prices on the web perhaps and then see who has availability [on arrival].
I think the standard of the instructor is not dependant on the (dis)organisation of the school.
