Yes - have a great New Year! If the next 12 months prove uplifting, with things going downhill occasionally, you've gone skiing. A good start.
If your New Year resolution is 'improved powder', don't break it. Resolve to enjoy the best snow ever - as fluffy as feathers, deeper than a pizza, and as floaty as the Titanic (before it hit that stupid iceberg). Enjoy some great turns!
Finally, on home ground, let's look forward to welcoming the 2005th snowHead in the coming months!

After typing that I zipped down to the Embankment to see the fireworks. The area was heaving, it couldn't fit the huge numbers wanting to stand next to the river. Luckily they hadn't shut Embankment tube so access from that point was still available.
What a show! It was an astounding display of pyrotechnics, with huge firebursts from a barge and string of floating platforms, but the London Eye was the the centrepiece. All the capsules had been fitted with sophisticated floodlight units, which changed colour, but the steel framework itself had ignition points right around it, so the whole structure became the world's biggest catherine wheel. Words can't describe the effect ... absolutely breathtaking!
