Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Burton Charger - is 152cm too small

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi folks,

Been offered a Burton Charger at 152cm length. I've done a week. Weighing in at a fit 14st and 5'10'' in height. Couple of questions:
1. What's the board like?
2. Is it too short for my fine (!??!!) physique? Shocked
Thanks,

BS

Good boards

Too short... I'd guess you'd want to be much closer to 157 or 159/160 at that height for all-moutain riding.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It must be 6 years old? They've been making them for years. No good for your size, it's a beginners board and very soft...

Yeah, deffo too short. Having said that, I'm 16.5 stone and ride a 152 as my dry slope board. Normally I ride a 165 on the mountains / domes but find the 152 fine for dry slopes as it turns a bit easier (Can't stop the bloody thing though!) and cos it was cheap, I don't mind scratching it up. So if you want a board to just rip about on, then yeah, £50 is not a lot to part with (Especially with bindings and bag), but for a main board I'd say no.
