Poster: A snowHead

Eh up!
Im looking for a light waterproof jacket to stuff in my bag when i go MTBing and i noticed EB, Snow and Rock etc... dont stock LA jackets. I had one and it was awesome, everyone used to sell them and they were top quality at good prices...so whats happened? Why arent the big stores stocking them? Have they done a Karrimor and turned into absolute garbage?
Thanks!

galpinos, from their website this seems to be true. Shame as I have an old hardshell from them that's getting a bit battered and it's been great.

Thanks guys...yup what a shame, their Triple Pont ceramic shells were great and not at the "jaw-hit-the-floor" prices you see from other companies...looked in a MTB store here in Austria last week, they stock Haglöfs, Peak Performance etc...they didnt sell one jacket less than 400e!! Oh well, nice if youve got the cash i guess...

If anyone is after Lowe Alpine gear they have a large concessionary outlet at Boundary Mill at the end of the M65, I was there only last night and bought a few end of season thermals and some gloves at silly money. All good gear, Goretex XCR etc, I also have a couple of the softshell jackets, had them a few years and they still look like new.
Worth a look if you are in the area, but it is seasonal, i.e. walking stuff now, skiing gear usually on the racks by sep/oct.
