I need to put a binding on my 179 hellbents and trying to save money. I have a pair of old salomon s900's with din of 14 (on my pocket rockets)and pair of rossignol axium 120's din 12 (on my k2 pe's). I was wondering if I can get away with a binding like the axium 120's on my hellbents. I don'take any huge drops or big hits so I don't need a binding with high din setting, or do I ? Do I really need a high quality binding or can get away with a low end binding simlar to my axium 120's.?

so where is the problem? I have a pair of Axial 120's set at 8 and think thats kinda in the middle of their range. I wouldn't want to ski them at 12 but for 8 they seem ideal.

Thought so.. just be careful when you do it, could end up with some broken breaks on your hands. He used flat handlebars for an MTB in that I think..
