Boredsurfing, I tell a lie, on way out to Paris 2 weeks ago we did end up in it for 15 mins or so. A sh*t hole with sh*t shops is the best description I could come up with.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

If you are short of time at the French end and need a snack, the quiches from the boulangerie are quite edible. I only ever go in any of them to use the loo, and to get the beam converters we always manage to forget. We got vouchers to use last Christmas as we were delayed, but the queue for the food and drink was so long we would have missed the train anyway.

There used to be a Pret a Manger at UK terminal, which was really good. Sadly they ripped it out to replave it with more cheap and nasty eating places.
Use them for the loo only generally - although did get nice speakers for ipod from Dixons once

I noticed on the last trip down, they have built (opened?) a new Service Station just up from Eurotunnel on the M20 which seems to be aimed at "early arrivals" - is it any good/ anyone been?

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Ok don't scream but just off junction 10 of the M20 is a Tesco Extra. Not arguing over quality but if you want a much cheaper alternative to a service station (especially with 3 kids in tow) it is worth using instead of a service station.

Helen Beaumont, Definitely the chipper option, though a junction 12 M4 Sainsburys cooked breakfast washed down with a Starbucks latte ain't to be sniffed at.

Meant to say - but in the early days of the tunnel - I'm sure that they used to have a chap pushing a trolly down the train with tea/coffee and snacks?
Unless it was Helen Beaumont, flogging left overs

We've filled up there too, but not stopped to eat. Usually need breakfast on the A1 before we get to the Peterborough section, if not earlier. Not found any great ones down the A1/A14 yet, although the Farm shop near the Sleaford exit would be great if we could time it right.
