I was thinking about going to La Rosiere at the start of December with my wife and 3 kids. Can any one give me any hints or advice or perhaps a chalet you would advise booking?
What is the snow record at this time of year? Obviously I do not want it to be too cold as I have young children.

Depends what you call start of december, resort not scheduled to open until 13th Dec. Even then if you want to ski its probably best to travel another 30 mins to Tignes or Val disere. Val has good gentle kids area v close to the centre.

I can think of many folks on here who would be upset at the constant ridiculing of "their" resort.

Perhaps Mr Spam himself should have considered this, I note he's still at it in places? Anyway the place seems to punch well above its weight in "genuine" positive endorsements too so I wouldn't be too concerned.

Blackgold, perhaps you could define what "The beginning of december" means and what standard you are,and where you are coming from, so people can advise on the transfer, skiing etc...and more importantly if the resort is actually open!!!!!!!!!

But, no worries. Only been there the once - late March 2008 to meet up with Frosty's Fourty Fearless Friends - and had a great time.
I would be quite happy to go back.
