I have honestly never been so busy at the start of a season before. Mostly Brits traveling from resorts around the Chamonix valley. Can anyone help me explain this? I can't see it albeit i'm happy as larry.

If it's 20 - 40 year old punters: perhaps that generation are so laid back about debt (having lived their entire adult lives with student loans, mortgages, card debt, etc) that they just don't care about the prospect of recession?

Having never experienced a recession in my adult life its does not seem so bad, the sky has not fallen in??? Dont know what all you old gits were moaning about in the seventies

For me, I realised that it wasn't sensible to get up to my eyeballs in debt just because it was cheap so I saved during the good times. I still haven't personally seen any effect from the crisis so far (except not being able to get my Icesave money and having "lost" thousands on stock based investments). I'm intending to ski as much as any other year. In fact I'm spending considerably more on one holiday than I normally would.
