Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Has anybody been to Morzine and watched 6 Nations Rugby in a Bar?
We have booked accomodation, then realised we'd not checked dates of rugby matches.
Plenty of web sites suggest pubs with big screens for football, but none specify Rugby Puzzled

Hi have been to Morzine a few times, We have watched the rugby in The Dixie bar, its not far from The Super Morzine lift.
Its a quite a lively bar, with a good atmosphere, they have a big screen.
Have a good trip, you will enjoy it, its a great resort and a fantastic ski area.

Yep, as tilly says, I seem to remember the Dixie Bar having Rugby on when I visited last season - so you should be fine. Very Happy

I've seen a web site reference to The Dixie bar and its not that far from where we're staying.

We have been to Morzine and Avoriaz before but not whilst 6 nations were on.
Agree the ski area is great.
Also it's one of the closed resorts to drive to, therefore stupid flight prices for half term thought we'd try driving.

Llew, Plenty of bars in Morzine will be showing the 6Nations, The Dixie Bar has already been mentioned but you will also get it at Le Sherpa, The Ridge Hotel and probably Les Rhodos ( next door to The Dixie ) aswell.

The Ridge and Le Sherpa are not too central but The Dixie and Les Rhodos are very close to the church,depends where you are staying of course.

Watched the 6N in the Dixie Bar a couple of years ago (as everyone else has already suggested). Ended up chatting to a bunch of guys from Bristol who were having a rugby club skiing tour - one of them I'd actually bumped into once at a referees' training day.

Mind you if he comes with us he will have to give away his free ticket so I wouldn't hold my breath as to whether he will fly out Sunday or Monday wink
