Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Went last Jan. The resort was only about one third open, there was a lack of snow - more to do with a drought than being too warm. The resort is fine for a couple of days, but its a little samey. With the exception of one run the runs are up and down in one of two shallow and parallel valleys. Its all above the treeline and the village wouldn't win any architectual awards. I will go again this year for a couple of days and this time stay in Granada, a 40 mins bus ride downhill, but a excellent nightlife.

PS Warning - When its cold there - its more like an Irish/British cold not Alpine bring layers.

with ref to staying in granada, i stay there everytime when I got(which is quiet a few rolling eyes) its about 30 mins in the car then drive in through the top of the village, you turn left at the old cable car model, you will know where i mean when you get there, then first right and follow the road then drive into the vilage and find a space.
the hotels in the village can be expensive for what you get plus we stop at a hotel at the bottom of the hill which is opposite the Alhambra and is about 20 min walk into town. likekillian, says when its cold its cold, best time to go is end feb begin march.

That's where I had to stop the car and put the snowchains on.... So it may not be "ski out" but may be "ski in" after all Toofy Grin
