Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I have been riding a board for the last 5-10 years and have chosen to get back onto some skis. I chose some new K2 Silencers which I got half off from REI (last years model). They are 170's and I also bought some used Nordica Beasts from last year as well (the boots are 165's). I am looking for a decent (not crap, but not top of the line) ski binding that will LIKELY BE WIDELY AVAILABLE ON EBAY. If they are a popular binding then there will be lots of them on Ebay which will cause a lot of supply and therefore drive the price down Smile I would know what to look for in the snowboard arena, however I know little to nothing about ski bindings. All that matters to me is that I am paying 50-60% less than retail (used of course). I would like to spend $50-$150. Please let me know what binding you recommend for my K2 Silencers. I would be so appreciative of someone's experienced advice Smile

meridianscholar, bindings are all much the same - apart from wieght ranges. They all do what they need to do. Unless your silencers have a plate that requires a particular brand, you can quite happily use anything.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

meridianscholar, welcome to snowHead

You could even cruise your local second hand shops. Bindings are bindings, provided they are still on the indemnified binding list (search google for it or some kind sole might post a link here), they'll be fine.

The only thing to know is you'll have to bend the breaks out a little.
