Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Pro Ski Simulator

Poster: A snowHead
A company in Slovenia has developed several models of what they call the Pro Ski Simulator. A friend of mine, keen skier, who has difficulties now because a nerve problem has weakened one leg is wondering whether it would be worth his while buying one of these, probably the Basic Ski Simulator version, to help get him back to full skiing. Has anyone here experience of the device and can say whether it brings benefits?

Most of the models look like knock offs of the skiers edge, you might find more people with similar issues have tried a skiers edge.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks for the tip, they do seem much the same. Yes, anyone who has tried a Skier's Edge can happily add their twopence worth.

I had a half-hearted look ski trainers a year or so ago. The Pro Ski models generally seemed to be less sophisticated than the Skiers Edge, with the exception of the Power Ski model, which is much wider and has spring loaded bindings mounted on the slider, so you not only get the side to side motion, but also get a much more natural fore and aft motion, rather than fixed side by side.

However, as with any of these devices, the cost of them is out of all proportion to the materials and technology provided.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Get a bit piece of floorboard, attach old bindings and put it on top of a bit of drain pipe and bobs your uncle, a 1 quid home trainer.
