Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mayrhofen area - 4th to 8th Jan 2011

Hi peeps,
I am meeting up with some friends from the 8th Jan onwards in various places in the alps, BUT
getting from Newcastle to Mayrhofen area is a reet pain.

I have noticed tour ops are running 4th-8th holidays this year and so I thought I could bolt one on, and get a flight from Newcastle in the deal - and not use the return flight!

Is there any Snowheads about to ski with in Mayrhofen the first week of Jan?

NCL -> MUN isn't horrible is it? (Lufthansa) You'd have to change but isn't that the deal for flying from a regional airport. We're flying into Munich and then driving down, but we'll miss you by a week.

Lampbus i have no idea, I noticed there are coaches from newcastle->Myr for the snowbombing festival. Shame its to late and all the good hotels are sold out.

Im sorted - Friday train to Derby. Kip at friends, fly Birmingham>Munich at siillyoclock AM (free ski carriage too) and train to resort.

Im kinda liking booking the outbound trip and not the return one Smile
