Poster: A snowHead
|
I'm planning a trip to Verbier next season. Basically when I leave the resort I need to get down to Le Chable train station for the train to Geneva. As my lift pass will have expired by that day what is the deal for using the gondola? Can you pay for a one way trip down or will they let you use it for free (u gotta hope )

tThe verbier to le chable single trip was 8 SF. Or The post bus leaves every hour only takes 25 minutes & I think is timed to connect with the train was SF 5.20. Don't know next season price.

skir67, 6 mins for the gondola. 15 mins for the bus. Prices around the same +/- 8 for bubble and 5 for the bus.

If you get the Swiss Transfer Ticket offer giving you return travel from Airport to any Resort in Sitzerland it should include using the Post bus.

Lechbob, That's very interesting as I had already planned on buying that ticket, I didn't realise it included buses too though, thanks for the heads up!

Wouldn't worry about a few €'s compared with what it costs to drink out in Verbier.

I can deffo confirm the postbus ties in with the trains, with some time to spare, and if you're leaving the resort with all your gear, it would be much easier than the gondola. Getting into a moving gondola with all your kit won't be very easy, whereas the bus is parked inside the bus station so you've got plenty of time to load onto it, and as Lechbob, says, it's covered on the Swiss transfer ticket.
