Looks like the freezing level is going to stay below the tops most of the week as well. Lets hope for plenty more this season.

D G Orf, Just think what it's like at the summit! A remember shouldering skis up there a few seasons ago: it was fairly calm at the Ptarmigan but blowing a blizzard at the top, and my misted up goggles froze the moment I took them off! I guess that's why they've repositioned the webcam from the summit to the Ptarmigan? Or is it still there

Nadenoodlee, you poor thing. Ill again. I don't think you're drinking enough. I hear you have to drink 2 litres every day. Well that's over bottles of wine. With that on board the bugs get pickled before they can cause any trouble.

Wish I was going up this weekend.
Webcams showing plenty of snow. Temperatures low for the next few days and snow showers forecast. Now we just need to figure out a way to keep it there for another month or so when the real winter weather begins.

At the time of posting this was not a 'crystal clear view', to coin an understatement. There seems to be a small amount of light penetrating the camera, and 50cm of snow on the upper lens. Maybe the funicular driver could be provided with a little lens cleaning device, so that he can nip out of the cab for this little duty during train stops?
