Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Difference between scott mission and scott rosa

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Does anyone have any info on the difference between these 2 skis (in 178!) I know the rosa was a womens specfic ski, but from what i have read it is basically the same ski as the mission, but with the sweet spot moved forward 18mm (according to a smallzookeeper thread, yes i have searched)

any info would be useful ,especially the difference in binding centre mount point, or if someone has some 178 missions could they measure the mounting point from the tail of the ski, thanks in advance

carroz, hello. I'm not sure if I can help you with your question but I have the Rosa's in a 168 and I love them. They have lots of ping that's for sure and I find them to be excellent on piste and off.

Yes geometry wise the Rosa is identical to the Mission. Don't know about the binding centre point differences between the two skis, although from memory I think I remember the guy in the shop telling me that the bindings are further forward on the Rosas compared to the Missions.

If you ring up the guy that owns Snowfit http://www.snowfit.co.uk/

that's where I bought my Rosa's from-got a cracking deal too (wasn't interested in buying the Missions anyway, only the Rosas as wanted a female specific ski) and he had skied both the Mission and the Rosa and was very knowledgable about both so he will be able to tell you the difference re bindings etc straight away.

I am planning to ski the Missions in October when I go on the Tignes Boot Camp as Scott skis are there then on test, I will be interested myself if they feel any different to my Rosas. snowHead I'm going to try the Punisher as well in a twin tip I reckon.

Good luck!

VolklAttivaS5, Helen Beaumont, Thank you for the replies. I will give snowfit a call tomorrow. It's the binding position that is the most important as i normally mount the bindings on my skis about 1.5cm forward of the mark as i have tiny feet, and the normal centre usually puts me way too far back. They are going to be a replacement for my legend 8000, as at 165cm I find them a bit short.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

carroz, from the tip of the tail to the little diamond mark on the sidewall is 76cm on my Mission 178's.

Yoda, Thank you. Just measured them at 76.5cm, i think i will give snowfit a call to find out what the difference is, (apart from 0.5cm!) as there does not seem much!
